Description
This remarkable resource offers schools a practical, efficient and systematic way to assess pupils with Sen issues, on Reading and understanding, Writing and Grammar. It allows schools to assess children with Sen according to the National Curriculum, so that their progress can be compared to the rest of the class. It also provides LSAs and teaching support staff a general English program of study with which they can help their Sen pupils learn the very basics of English, which often gets overlooked due to the Sen child’s customised educational plan.
The scheme comprises assessment packs on three levels. Each level includes three tests. Each test incorporates a pupil test and a teacher’s copy, with guidance. This scheme can also be used as a generic assessment scheme for all children in schools which are currently operating on a lower-than-National Curriculum level.
